About

“I think their predominant color was a greyish-green, though they had white bellies. They were mostly shiny and slippery, but the ridges of their backs were scaly. Their forms vaguely suggested the anthropoid, while their heads were the heads of fish, with prodigious bulging eyes that never closed. At the sides of their necks were palpitating gills, and their long paws were webbed. They hopped irregularly, sometimes on two legs and sometimes on four. I was somehow glad that they had no more than four limbs. Their croaking, baying voices, clearly used for articulate speech, held all the dark shades of expression which their staring faces lacked ... They were the blasphemous fish-frogs of the nameless design—living and horrible.”

About

Name: LU6419 - a.k.a. "Luggy"

Luggy is an old veteran of the Labor Division and has been used in most jobs that require heavy-lifting and muscle. Generally, he was given the jobs that were too heavy or too dangerous for humans to take on. He has gone through some major repairs, and taken on some good battle woods, but he is the most reliable LU6 unit ever built and that is why he is still in service. All of the other LU6 units have been decomissioned and replaced by newer models, but Luggy, due to his reliability and good friend Gerald Senar, was kept running.

Aspects

  • The Last LU6 Labor Unit
  • The Sun'll Come Out Tomorrow (solar powered)
  • Upgraded to Protect
  • I'm still around because of Gregor Senar

Skills

Careful: +2
Clever: +1
Flashy: +2
Forceful: +3

Sneaky: +1

Stunts

To The Rescue. Because I am Upgraded to Protect, I get a +2 whenever I forcefully attack a target that has already attacked an ally.

Outdated Ingenuity. Because I am The Last LU6 Labor Unit, I get a +2 whenever I cleverly create an advantage using old technology.

Full Power Mode. Because I am Solar Powered, I get a +2 whenever I forcefully attack or move something in full sunlight.

About

Name: Ace Ventura

Ace Ventura is a Miami-based private detective specializing in the retrieval of missing animals. Based on the character from the movies: Ace Ventura: Pet detective and Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls.

NPC submitted by Marc-André Benoit.

Aspects

  • Ace Ventura, Pet detective
  • When nature calls
  • Behaves like an animal
  • Incredible powers of observation
  • “Alrighty Then!”

Skills

Careful: +2
Clever: +2
Flashy: +3
Forceful: +1
Quick: +1
Sneaky: +0

Stunts

Animal Affinity. Because I’m such a great Pet Detective, I can pick a particular type of animal (cats, rodents, horses or the like). At the start of any scene, if that type of animal could reasonably appear in the location where the scene is set, I may make a check against a difficulty of Fair (+2). If I succeed, there is an animal of this type in the scene. (Adapted from Peter Blake Animal Affinity stunt)

Animal Friend. Because I’m the friend of all living creatures, I can pick a particular type of animal (cats, rodents, horses or the like). I can communicate with animals of this type using a combination of speech and gestures. This doesn’t connote a special level of intelligence on the part of the animals, so the communication may be relatively simple. I also gain +2 to my rolls when interacting socially with animals of this type. (Adapted from Spirit of the Century SRD, 6.28.1)

About

Name: Tork

Tork was raised as part of a select group of Turtoids that were chosen to protect Seal of Haaf, an artifact deep in the ocean that was said to protect the oceans from the monsters that lurked beyond it's depths. But Tork doubted it's power and, when he was old enough, he left to find his own path. Years later, he heard news of many attacks from strange sea creatures and he feared the worst. He journeyed back to his village only to find it overrun with sea monsters. He has now taken it upon himself to find the Seal of Haaf and return it to it's rightful place before the oceans are destroyed.

Mechanics

Tork is meant to be used as a defensive player. He excels when taking the Full Defense action in a fight. He can build up tons of advantages this way by defending for himself and allies in the same zone. Then he can spend them all at once, or hand them off to a heavier hitter for some pretty nasty combos.

Tork was created for The Masters of Umdaar

Aspects

  • Last protector of the Seal of Haaf
  • Fear of inaction
  • Rusty water manipulator
  • Life on the road

Skills

Careful: +3
Clever: +2
Flashy: +2
Forceful: +1
Quick: +0
Sneaky: +1

Stunts

Plates (Careful). You have thick plates, scales, or hide. Whenever you Carefully defend against a physical attack, you suffer one less stress.

Water Manipulation (Clever). You can move and manipulate a specific type of element. Pick a broad type of element, such as air, water, earth, metal, plants, or fire. Whenever this element is present in a scene, you can attack without a weapon. If the source of the element is abundant—air in an open space, or fire from a torch in the wall—you also gain +2 when Cleverly creating advantages using that element.

Turjitsu. +2 to Cleverly defend against physical melee attacks.

Redirect. When you succeed with style on a Clever or Careful defense against a physical melee attack, the boost you gain provides a +3 bonus instead of a +2.
